True Identity

Standard

Jesus went around healing the sick, dead, and almost-dead. And in Mark 1:34, it states the demons knew his true identity, but he didn’t let them say a word. He didn’t let them say anything. Know what that means? Jesus is the one with the power. Not the illness or the ugliness surrounding the illness. All of those thoughts that we have of not being good enough, that we’re not healthy and never will be, the curse of disease that has been passed down through our families, the idea of unworthiness…we need to take a page out of Jesus’ book and not allow them to speak into our minds. Take those thoughts captive, then throw ‘em out like the garbage they are. The enemy of our souls knows full-well our true identity, just like the demons knew Jesus. Get up, dust yourself off, and remind everyone, including yourself of exactly who you are. God says we are the head and not the tail, that we can do all things, we are His chosen, His elect, we are not only conquerors, but more than that, and that we are free indeed! This is just a few of the statements that He made about us and don’t you feel better just reading them? Remind yourself every day and see what happens. God wants to take you to a higher level than you’ve ever known; He can’t do that until we start seeing ourselves the way He sees us.

About chronicchristian

I am a mother of 2, married to the best man in the world for 10 years and chasing after what God wants for my life. I currently deal with some symptoms some like to refer to as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. I refer to them as past symptoms as I believe God is doing something awesome and she who guards her lips guards her life. This blog is good therapy. Maybe not for you, but definitely for me. God is good and I intend to prove it.
