Lay It Down

Put down the knife, dear little lamb. The marks on your arms and legs hurt My heart to see. Don’t contemplate swallowing one more pill of destruction. Please do not try to end your life…there is so much more I need for you to see, feel, and experience. I concern Myself with you. There is more. Happiness is not found in money or fame or career. I can show you true joy, an unexplainable, miraculous joy that the world cannot give.
Lay down your tools of harm, those you use on yourself. I have gone to great lengths to show you that I am here and that I will never leave you. Call out to me and I will show you, I promise. This is the truth…put me to the test and accept it as such. I will never let you down. I love you. I care for you. Take a moment to listen to the words that proceed from My mouth and not the words that come from those who wish to harm you. You will never regret it.

Your Loving Father,

My prayers today are for those who have ever contemplated or attempted to take their own life.

About chronicchristian

I am a mother of 2 children who I realized not long ago I can't call "toddlers" anymore, married to the best man in the world for 12 years and chasing after what God wants for my life. I currently deal with some symptoms and have for the past 9 years, that resemble an autoimmune illness. Currently my own body is attacking my thyroid (seems it could find something better to do) and the doctors I've seen are at a loss as to what the plan might be. I believe God has the very best plan and that He is doing something awesome and she who guards her lips guards her life. This blog is good therapy. Maybe not for you, but definitely for me. God is good and I intend to prove it.
